Foam on mask

Straying a tad off subject.

Darkstranger - I noticed you live in reading, where about's to you train/play? Play for? (i live in reading too, and have often pondered where you could play)

back on topic, you could just buy a new frame for the I3's, i don't think they are too dear.

Generally play at Southampton / High Wycombe. Used to use an indoor site opposite where Reading NSPL is played but this is now closed.

I am quite supprised that nobody has opened a sup-air training site in a city as big as Reading.

Fancy Lending me ten grand anyone?

I used superglue. Thought it might melt the foam but instead it made my eyes sting. I then got hacked off and brought a different mask!;)
hmmm...used superglue before, it hardened and came off after a days play. Its my lads mask, have already bought him a new 1, but want to get the mask properly done .

Was it a 'named' brand superglue. Although the stuff all smells the same (voice of experience) the actual 'sticky factor' varies from brand to brand.

If you want it done correctly then you will have to purchase a new frame. I personally feel that masks are not Dye's strong point as I find my £20 Vantage goggles 10 fold better than my £60 Invisions.

how did u manage to pull the foam outta ur i3s?
i know site goggles have it happen alot due to lack of care and the way they are washed. ive never had any foam peeling or coming away and ive had 1 pair of goggles for 4yrs or so now.

hows about that tape they use to stick carpets and lineo down? gripperrods brand stuff.

superglue would be ok. just stick it outside for a while. or as someone suggested . a new i3 frame.

This is my second pair Dye mask, both having small areas of the foam come loose. And im sure im not the only one to experience this. I personally use Events, but my lad likes the feel of the dye masks, as they are a better fit on him.

Cheers m8:)
