just tried fitting my oops today and the blanking screw seems a b!tch to screw in.

i can screw it in about half way with ease and then it becomes near impossible evenwith an allan key  is it meant to do this or is there a problem here?

any help would be greatly appreciated :)

cheers

Put some soap or candle wax on teh threads...and when it gets tight, work it in and out a bit...if you dont change your grip on teh key, you will see if it is improving.

The anno might be a bit thick or maybe teh thread is a touch pissed...dont force it, but give that a go.

i guess i'll go with the anno is a bit thick because its exactly the same on both sides of the oops. I'm getting there slowly but surely so its not all bad....hopefully get this thing finished in the next 10 minutes or so :D also are the screws that go into the side of the rail supposed to stop the actual system from moving?

Yeah...you tighten them and it expands teh rail and holds teh OOPS tight.

ok got the blanking screw in and when i unscrew it to finally add the loctite into it i find a piece of the oops thread has came off and is now stuck in the screw thread..... will this mean i have to get a new oops or can i just clean the blanking screws thread, loctite it in and hope that the loctite will stop any leaks?(i didnt force it to screw in, i worked it in and out slowly just like skeet said.....no dirty pun intended lol)

cheers
