Well if you did then you'd know the problem

Problems on my body  , i have no problems at all, but havent a clue what your going on about
Oh dear God... Please do try and read my first reply again, maybe you'll get it the second time - understanding Will's points didn't seem hard to you, and in all fairness we do pretty much have the same oppinion on this matter a long way down the line!

I'll try and rephrase my question: Has this matter ever been a problem for you or teams you have played on?

Mikey, I think the problem here is that you seem to be critising the teams that choose to ref Millennium events. That's not on. These teams have a good working knowledge of the Millennium series and are doing what they feel is best for their teams. As has been mentioned, Reffing is a damn hard job and teams that choose to do it and do it well should be thanked.

Your issue is really with the way the Millennium organise their ref coverage and we all know that the option you have if you don't like the Millennium ways of doing things is not to play their events. Knowing how determined your team is to perform in Div 1 this season, I assume that isn't an option. So why are you getting your nose bent out of shape?

I gotta agree with Syd and pretty much everyone else, give it up Mikey. I wouldn't WANT to ref an MS event unless I had to, give the guys that are doing it some credit and accept that they have good reason to do it...

A small thing I would like to add: It's fine with me discussing these matters, but I really don't see any reason in doing so if it's just for "the fun of it" and if it's without having any suggestions for solving it!!! :)

Im not directly critising the teams that choose to ref the mills events, what im saying is that it seems to be an unfair way of getting an advantage.

If my understanding of it all is correct, you apply to ref an event and each team gets looked on thru a certain criteria. One of those criteria's is if you have had any experience before hand. Teams that have had more experience reffing at mill level will obviously get chosen over a team that hasnt. If at the start of the season as this seems to be the best time to ref due to how the seeding works team apply would it not be hard for new teams and less experienced teams to get a ref slot?

Granted if theres no other option which there isnt as of yet and we obviously have the need for refs theres not that much that can be done but i do think its a shabby way of doing things. Being a good player is one thing, being a good ref is another
