I think the definition for sport contains more accurate points dont you? stamp collecting and woodcarving dont really sell it for me tbh.

Although I hate to agree with Mikey, until paintball is recognised by the sports council, it isn't a sport. It's a hobby.

No amount of dictionary.com is going to change it. End of.

I agree with Andy.

By definition it is. In terms of being an recognised sport within the UK then its not. Its all just a matter of relativity and unfortunately whats more relevant to us is the sports council.


What helps me form my opinion is the classic game of wits, courage and skill often referred to as kabbadi, as seen on channel 4 some time back. This is a recognised sport in Asia yet I use this govenment webite http://www.uksport.gov.uk/ and find no reference to it. Unlss someone has a better website to reference.

As for the topic of this thread heres my 2p: In my view paintball is a sport and i don't need some sport council to tell me what is a sport and whats not lol.
