Its just ridiculous to deny the meaning of a word because some govornment institution doesnt recognise it, nothing will change in the game of paintball if the sports council regognise it, it wont be a different thing, it is by dictionary definition a sport, "sport" is a noun, the word sport isnt owned by the sports council.

So then its not a sport then.

Since when did the dictionary have anything to do the recognition of sport?
It doesnt have anything to do with the recognition, it has to do with the definition. They're two different things and the second can be true without the first being true.

all recognised sports are sports by definition
but not all sports by definition are recognised sports

So if you use the defintion of the word as per the dictionary you could class most things as a sport.

Its quite simple a sport isnt a true/recognised/actual sport until its recognised by the sport council

Oh wait maybe if you send an email to the olympics and on the bottom of the bid say " but wait the dictionary says so" maybe we stand a chance

Oh really. So the UK Sports Council decide what is a sport, the entire world over? I didn't realise that, sorry, I'll shut up now.
