I think the thing is that if you chose to interact with others through a medium that involves text, just like in conversation people are going to judge not only what you say but the way that you say it.
Typing in block capitals 'sounds' like shouting, and thus sends a message even if you don't mean it that way. The way some people type on here is the equivalent of trying hold a conversation with someone who is picking bits of stuff out of their arse crack and eating them as you talk, whilst getting annoyed with you for remarking upon it and claiming to have arsecrakypickyeatyitis.
If you want to be taken seriously in a text-based medium then either learn to spell and punctuate or get a spellchecker and use it, or get used to people making snap judgements based on the way you choose to represent yourself:)

As far away from you as possible
I don't mind people trying to act as if they eat steriods for breakfast if i'm honest, it shows them for the idiots they are.
I hate people who try to get so far up the mods arses' that they have sh!tty teeth. Another point is when certain people brag about how much is in their kitbag, what does the size of your kit bag compensate for your small penis?

howeverI can live with bad grammar and spelling, so long as the person in question is attempting to do their best to present the text in a legable manner.

My thoughts, take them or leave them.

Fair point, although it must be said these kids seem to make no effort whatsoever to improve their spelling and grammar, yet moan and cry when people get annoyed with it.

I am continually gobsmacked that people pay so little regard to spelling and such on the internet, how the hell do they get by in everyday life? Do they just disregard any common sense whilst logging on?

I think there should be age restrictions and IQ tests before allowing internet access, who's with me? :D
