Macromedia Freehand or Adobe Illustrator....NOT photoshop.

you can't produce Vector drawings from photoshop so you wont be able to resize it affecitively. The only way round this is to create a MASSIVE photoshop file (100mb plus to be sure) and a lot of PCs will struggle.

you might run in to problems when it comes to getting your logo printed on Jerseys as well as most printers will ask for .eps files. Photoshop does NOT do the right kind of .eps file. It does a photoshop eps rather than a vector eps.

Yeah ill make you one if you want, i use Photoshop CS2, and yes its a little confusing, but put the effort in and you can get good at it(which i must say, i am ), i mostly make signatures, but i also made my teams logo. Heres some of my work (most sigs are for gaming just so you know)

It depends on your taste but I think Coronation Street will probably be a good programme to have as a logo.
