If you find PSP X hard, dont even go near photoshop mate. I've used both, PSP more than PS and found photoshop really difficult to get on with to begin with.
Personally, if you want something decent, ask someone nicely who does it for a living/knows how to do it. The results will be much better.

Im looking for an a3 tablet tbh...although could be swayed to a4.

well I currently have a A4 sized genius tablet, I only use it for small amounts of photoshop work but it does the job

It's like Photoshop, but similar, is updated regularly and is free. One of the best out there IMO.

Well depends on how hard it is but i could make it as i am advanced in the photoshop field.
Adobe Photoshop cs2 + wacom graphics tablet are my tools of choice.
