thats fair enough but don't you think that it helps bring problems that you dont always hear about to the attention of millions and helps people change the way they think?

Oh I'm not saying it doesn't do good and there are lots of people that will donate money just because they feel compelled to by watching the reports, what the money will be used for etc. But people shouldn't critisize others for not donating to Comic Relief etc.

they worked out that everyone on the world could have there own gold medal and it would cost less. + why couldent this go to something that will not last 6 week at the olipcys (and yes i cant spell it) when it could go to things that are going to last forever if we dont do anything

Nine billion for the luxury of being beaten at crap sports by everyone else in the entire world.
Art galleries etc....... the pointless crap that we could easily do without and fix a multitude of problems.

If they start being sensible with the money they take off me without my consent (tax etc...) then maybe I'll start giving up some more.
As it is, there is enough cash out there to sort most of the worlds problems. Unfortunately it's in the hands of ****ers.

i have major doubts the money goes where it should

in 10 years how much money you think has been given to help poverty....

and sure some advancements have been made, but if all the money was used correctly i doubt there would be poverty

But in Africa there are little laws for benefits or money for people that are ill or out of work. I am not to sure how the government works of in Africa but all I hear is we give the money to the king / queen / government and they get a nice big shiny car. But sense then it has change and we go in planes and give the stuff to them.
