Well it´s fine all of us know what´s dangerous and not - what can explode or not... BUT the main point here is, that the airlines don´t!!! That´s their whole reason for "banning" certain things, they do not know how they work! 
Attention to people that fly for paintball

After we got back from Norway , i went to Manchester airport to check on the new regulations that Liverpool airport security had told me about
I went to airport oversize baggage check in to see if i was going to have a problem in a couple of weeks when we fly over to Toulouse . When i got there ,i noticed that it was the same company as what was at Liverpool airport so i thought this is going to be an interesting conversation ......
so i asked the question can this can go in the hold ...... "NO" .... "then followed what is it" explained the situation to them about being a paintball team and we have traveled quite a lot between us , he still said no up until i said that they were empty .......... then he said yes .....but it was completely down to the airline .
Then he said if you have to ask the airline and see what there policy is .
The moral of the story i think is avoid ryan air and dont trust the fcuking scousers there all lying fcukers........he was being a jobsworth ..thats the top and bottom of it all. He has Not been laid in a while by my thinking ...... and yes i was stressed to *** over this at the time , as we had 10 brand new stackos systems riding on it .

All Our Regs Where Separated From The Bottles But Security Said That The Hole Airport (john Lennon) Said No Air Lines Will Let You Take Bottles On There Planes.
That is defo right for bottles in hand luggage, you aren't allowed any bottle over 100ml in volume (not too sure of exact size). So just stash it in your main luggage open and job done.
If you try and 'smuggle' anything through security that is your problem..
It is Ryan Air. I might not be able to match your extensive European travel experience Lovetone but i am sure all standard airlines are fine with paintball equipment in check in luggage if you are up front and explain everything calmly and fully. Remove the reg, chuck a magazine on top of it all and will be fine

we have been told, and the corporate literature for our carrier states, that we cant take paintball air tanks on...
so....

You are boring me now. I was only trying to help you with the right advise. I have never heard of this but If they say no airsystems are allowed then i guess you better find another way of getting them there/borrowing some over there!

When I first started travelling with my gear I used to explain what I had and sometimes they said fine and checked it straight in, sometimes they said just take it to excess baggage to get scanned. No problemo.
I always remove the reg from the bottle whenever I travell (common sense), but after a while I just started packing up my luggage, chucking in a copy of PGI in for good measure and check it without mentioning a single word about paintball. Always goes through no questions asked.

I would love say your right but your not!!!!!
I lost 2 air systems when i went to the states in Nov ,sometimes it has nothing to with the airline and just the simple fact the guy checking your bag has no idea what it is and pulls it out , thats the way the ISA work when traveling to the states and thats with reg on or off .
pretty much russian roulette when traveling to the states with tanks, so make sure your insured
