Ion Comparison

Gents,

I'm currently running an up'd Ion and was thinking about possibly trading up to a new marker.

Now the dillema I have is that I'm not sure what to trade up to, as I'm having some problems comparing what I've got to what is out in the market to use as a comparison so I know what to trade up to. It is possible I could think I'm trading up but actually get a marker that performs worse than my up'd baby.

Now pro-Ion users could compare properly up'd ions sometimes to last years angels and such like, but Ion-haters say no matter what you do to an Ion it is still an Ion, and anything is an improvement.

Now I'm not big on bling, more on functionality, so can anyone offer a sensible opinion on what I could compare my up'd Ion to, when looking at markers currently available as new.

Note: I'm not after recomendations on what to buy, I'm trying to get a measure so to compare what I've got so I can make my own mind up on an upgrade.

Thing is I am very happy with my Ion, but never having owned or fired anything else other than a stock Tippman 98c, I don't know what to compare it to. If a small investment on top of what I could get for my Ion and it's spares would get me a much better marker then great! But if not, then at least I can sleep easy knowing I've asked the question.

Oh... and your right, you can never have enough paint.....

if you've seen my ION, you'll see how upped it is, is lighter than my NXT shocker, though i find my shocker a better gun overall, Most ION users will eventually upgrade to a newer gun, though i would say dont buy a mid range gun, go all out, shocker, ego, DM, PM, or something like that
