.....................the same holds true for the new NPPL after HB which will sell out and is akin to the PSP's World Cup which last year had 375 total teams. Individual events do not the series make.

..........I agree, and if only such wisdom was exercised after San Diego's NPPL, but no, only talk of a 'Dying league' and so on. I guess the PSP just isn't as interesting to cuss-out these days. Good for them. Who says there has to be cuss-out 'equality' anyway, right?

I'll tell you why the vendors were pissed though; its the format. Its obvious to me. 6 fields, 24 teams need to be there at any given time, and they will all be busy playing or getting ready to play. Then they will leave. 180 people approx, playing and leaving, to be replaced by another 180 people. Is a vendors area even viable? The league would be better with a mobile Pro-shop on site that stocks everyones gear, run by the league. It would make money, and that could help buy the rubber under-lay for that turf, or provide free gold shoes.

Between the money the league save on vendor set-up, and what they can sell from the Pro-shop I doubt there would be a lot in it at first, but it has legs, and they can ask for higher sponsorships in product in some cases, because they can turn it around at the events. Its far fetched and highly unlikely though, I'll give you that. Bear in mind I'm talking about a fancy pro-shop trailer set-up, like a Paintball department store almost, not a shack by the entrance. A little imagination is required.
While I take your point about there being spectators watching games, that is all they were there for, and sure, add another 80-100 family members and girlfriends to my total... When the game finished, they left, or they stayed to watch another, they were there for that purpose, not to visit vendors.
Now I didn't have a booth there, so I am not bothered, but might be if I had.

I would say that our boys did a stunning job with the lay-out though. Top Job.
And Dynasty's jerseys - grrrr - don't get me going, so hot, especially on the more athletic guys. One thing though, did anyone else notice they have evolved from 'kids' into 'short men'. Kids are short because they're young, but these guys are just plain short...

I don't disagree as there certainly is something to the thinning ranks of mid and low level sponsors who can't make economic sense of showing up. I bring this topic up in the event report too.
