Hey

Well basically the thread for the right counter weight, thing on my angel speed 04 as been cross-threaded and at the last walk-on i went to my gat blew the counter weight and a small section of the gun, [This is what came out..in blue... Clicky

basically what i want to know is how is the best way for my to get the thread remade and fixed,

could i take it to a engineering company and see if they has the right size tap, and can clean the thread up...

Im really looking for the cheapest way to do this, and the quickest.

Any help would be good,

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom, you've got a bit of a problem there. The thread is very fine and you're not likely to get a tap for it. I do a lot of mods on angels, and i haven't got a tap for those threads. It may have to go back to WDP either through LIPS or directly to WDP.
I would be happy to have a look at it for you, but i may not be able to get it sorted, depends on the damage.

The threads are gone inside the gun? or on the cap? I'm guessing inside the gun, which as everyone else has said, is a bit of an arse. And I'm guessing that it could be a fairly expensive thing to fix?
