Just had mine arrive and I notice the replacement valve guide is plastic.
Anyone know before I bug planet if this to act as a temporary measure while the original is fixed or is this a new lightweight improvement?

The valve guide is actually made from Delrin for one main reason: it is more resiliant to damage compared to an identical part made from brass.

No need to bug Planet about this one

If you have a brass valve guide that is working perfectly then leave it in there. If you need to replace the valve guide in the future use the delrin one.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. If you can make it better when you need to fix it, do so
