This thread will be useful to anyone thinking of using Reballs through these markers. As we are Proto sponsored for 2007, we have had the opportunity to test out the PM's and Rails for shooting reballs.
Firstly you would be wise to upgrade the ball detents to the dm (sprung) ones, as the rougher surface and hardness of the reballs will destroy your rubber detents in a very short space of time.
Next the marker settings
1.Set the PM7 lpr to stock (manual suggested) settings. Don't be tempted to lower this pressure for efficiency.
2. Set your dwell to 25.
3. Adjust your hpr to give a velocity of approx 200 - 220 fps.
One thing to watch out for is debris from the reballs, if they are not fully cleaned this debris builds up around the Bolt tip (014 BN70) 'o' ring and moving back to the Front wall internal (017 UR70) 'o' ring and the Front bumper (015 BN70) 'o' ring. We have found the first symptom of this happening is the Proto's become less accurate! If left there is a risk these 'o' rings will become damaged. We have been cleaning the bolt assembly after about 2000 - 4000 shots.
These settings were tested on Saturday, when we shot over 95,000 reballs! The PM's and the Rails shot within 8fps using the settings above without problems.
Hope this info is of some use.
