so if i were to buy the 4500spi (300 bar) dive tank to fill my 3000 psi 48 cu air tank would this be really dangerous or would there be a release valve or safety sytem on one of them to stop you from overfilling?

There is no release valve, so it is very dangerous. All air systems have a burst disc that's there to prevent the bottle exploding, but you don't want to put 4500psi into a 3000psi bottle.

listen to MR T ALLEN. he knows his stuff and you don't yet.

to be doubly certain, either buy a 232bar dive tank and fill station, OR buy yourself a 4500psi tank for you marker.

do remember the pressure in car tyres is usually around 40psi. would you like one of those to explode in your face at approx 80psi?? then ask yourself what something blowing up at 60 times that pressure would be like.......................
