Not necessary calls

Calm down lad, its not like they are shouting easy field at the start of a game, all it means is that at the time of shouting, the field is easy, ie no-one shooting back. It aint offensive I don't think.
Thats exactly what I take it to mean as well Tricky mate. Don't see anything offensive about it in general.

Regardless of the call though, if the bonus balling described in the original post is an accurate description, that really sucks, no need for it imo.

Call me Mr. Curious but I'd like to know if anyone in any upper division team, say your D1s, actually ever says this?
Also if it's more common for teams that consistently fail to win more than one or two games to use this perfectly harmless no offense intended call?

(I have a theory you see but I need a bit more information.)

i know just keep shooting the deadbox, till you run out of paint or air.its much more fun than shouting easy field, and you will soon find out how many are in there

Negative on the 1st part (speaking for our team)

At least not when Ive played. If we had a backman that was that bad that he might mistake your front guy for the opposition, he wouldnt play for us for long.

As for the 2nd part: I think its more that some teams have adopted this and some haven't. No idea how it came about. I think its one of those stupid things paintballers try, like running with your hand in front of your face.

Grow up and take it?

Can you not see the logic of when the field is CLEAR to shout out CLEAR field, or is common sense lost on you?
yes grow up and take it, or is the meaning of those words lost on you?
As i said it may not be the best thing to shout, i personally shout "clear field" (on the rare occasions im not in the deadbox) but there is no need to take any offense at "easy field" its just another way of saying the same thing, if they shouted "THE CRAP B*STARDS ARE ALL DEAD" then yes i would understand you taking offense, and you would probably have the right to give them a good slap, but throwing your toys out of the pram because someone shouted easy field is stupid
