i think if "easy field" offends anyone, they need to stop being so bloody sensitive

Agreed, i always shout 'easy field' BUT only on my way back for the flag so the rest of my team know not to shoot. i take the 'easy' bit as taking it easy and being able to relax cos theres no more pressure.

having said that, i cant see the point if you've already got the flag cos your team would've already seen you by then.

Happy Monday all,

Got back from Masters late last night, great day watching (injured angle) and must say congrats to Wendy and all for a great event.

However I must say one of the last games spoiled it a bit,

I think it was field one or two end of the day, DV'us/ DV8 vs. (team in red Dye tops) and it was the last elimination. The DV'us player (with a Pink trooper Ego) shot out the last opposition player with a goggle shot and the player walked with his hand on head.

However the DV'us player ran up behind him and then shot him 4/5 times in the back at close range whilst he walked!

He then proceeded to run to the flag and run it to the gate while shouting "EASY FIELD EASY FIELD!". What was the point? He had the flag, who was he shouting to?

Now I know some of this happens but what I was concerned about is the fact that a marshall was right next to the eliminated player and did nothing while the DV'us player shot the guy up.

Or is the fact I am getting old finally showing?

Yea i was that guy, and it was 6 shots to the back, one to goggles and i think one or two to the hopper.

I mean come on guys, there was no need, seriously sort your selves out.

dont worry mate i wont, but shouting easy field is just a way of telling your guys its all clear, not in any way calling the other team "sh!t", i have seen plenty of games and played plenty of games myself, where its been a really good close game and the winners have shouted easy field, iv never taken offense, i agree other thing could be said and maybe should be said but its not reason to get in a huff, just grow up and take it

depends on the sitation, if someone comes round the blind side of your bunker and cant see you... then they will fire as they come round, they aint gona wait to run round and take a peaky to see if your out or not, there gona come round and mug the **** out of you, and you were probably just in the firing line of him mugging the bunker, so he was probably shooting at thin air where you WOULD of been, straight into where you were.... thats the way i look at it anyway ;p

I can't wait till next time. Or if you would like to come and train with us we can sort it out there. It was our first time out of Koth and I thought we did great as most of us have not done many touni's and you had some of DV8 on your team

Calm down lad, its not like they are shouting easy field at the start of a game, all it means is that at the time of shouting, the field is easy, ie no-one shooting back. It aint offensive I don't think.

why bother shouting anything, if your team is any good then you wont need to shout, unless you got a 'back player' and i use that term loosely, who doesnt see the need to bunker up with the team and just sits there randomly shooting at anything they see.
