can someone please tell me what the relavence of the pi symbol on an air bottle is?
i saw in another post about DOT bottle also?
what bearing do these have on playing etc?

pi means that it's tested and legal for uk use
dot bottles are tested and legal for us use
you can not use a pi bottle in the us, or a dot bottle in the uk
They have no bearing for play, unless you are taking it accross the pond - in which case it basically means that you'll spend the trip watching and not playing

Further to yorgies excellent post, PI marked bottles are also ok for European play. There are also PI + DOT stamped bottles that are ok for all areas.

ok so if my bottle doesnt have a pi symbol "BUT" it has been re tested here what then?

you will definitely be able to use it in the uk

its ok over here if its HSE too, but i dont think they retest DOT only bottles over here, might be wrong though, either way i still dont think you can use it if its DOT only

you can get dot bottles tested in the uk, if you know where . But no use unless you have a dive bottle to fill off.

my bottle screws directly onto my reg on the gun! the bottle itself has no valve!! got an adrenaline immpy with max flo?!
fill nipple and everythin the same! why would i need a dive bottle?

you won't need a dive bottle, that's just for filling dot standard bottles at a tourney.
