well they always said in skool that they never knew what dircetion I would take in my life! It's more east possibly northeast than southeast. Northish of you though liz.Hmmm - and there was me thinking Essex was NORTH of the River Thames (which runs West->East directly through the centre of London) not south

I think jumping jaks is the one you mean more of a bar than a club.I went to a ropey club in basildon once....think it was called cactus jacks...
I also got a gun held to my head and robbed in a place just down the road from there......

Gun crime - damn man that is unusual down here. Like every place though there are exceptions. The last reported shooting I know of was in a club called Time - which was a respectable club and some idiot who got thrown out after a fight with a girl went and got his shooter and opened fire at the bouncers.
Of course we have our fair share of scally's everywhere dows but I think the Crystal Palace Car Break-in Challenge record is safe.
Pic attached - taken a few years ago on a flying lesson. The stadium seating area is much smaller than CP but this can be easily corrected with grandstands built like in Paris. The bonuses for this site are a few fold. Cheap hotels, Easy access - all dual carriageways from m25 and yes BAS VEGAS. All the nightlife a paintball tourney needs on one site. More will be revealed about other plans that are going on soon.

Personally I would go for the hotels as they are cheap, plentiful and right on top of the nightlife. The MS will be posting the hotels deals as soon as they are arranged.
There is a Travel Lodge just up the road. About 4-5 minutes in the car so about a 15-20 minute walk.
