picked up a second hand 06 last month - fcuk me but what a monster compared to the ion platform!!

as someone who has used both i kinda preferd my etek albeit i put a new trigger on it, but it still ripped with the flat trigger.
I tuned my 06 to absolutely rock and it never let me down dont get me wrong i loved both markers, but for the same money, id take a new etek with the warranty over a used 06. thats bone stock im talking.
the etek board is wicked, so easy to use and the fact you can do it all without opening the grips is cool for messing around or tweaking stuff.
I found the battery life on the etek to be really good too cos it doesnt have the LCD screen.
as for how they shoot, they are identical.
you wont go far wrong with either but like i say, both guns stock, but the etek new,id take the etek.
they are holding their resae quite tell too (£300 ish)
whereas, if you look around, you can get an 06 for £300 which just goes to show.
as for the 06 ego being "much much better" thats a false statement they both shoot awesome.
kick - both the same
accuracy - both the same
reliability - both the same
tech - day to day - the same
tech - strip down - etek is easier as less fiddly/complicated
board - 06 LCD is very nice but etek LED is simpler to use, so even again.
looks - personal preference
stock equipment - 06 has 14 inch barrel which i prefer, but both shoot great. etek has the integrated rail which is nicer than the 06 rail. oops systems are ostensibly the same. feedneck / eye covers / lpr etc all the same. bolt the same, but the ETEK on is smaller / butno facy milling. so even again.
for the record both are better than the 05 ego (stock) IMHO
