Reccomended Upgrades for a 98 Custom?

Hi,

I am in the process of buying a Tippmann 98 Custom, and should have it by about wednesday. It's completely stck, except it has a double trigger fitted, not a single.

Im not looking to spend tons of money to start with, and im trying to angle it towards a marksmans marker. Any reccomended upgrades?

Thanks :)

P.S: already saving up for an air tank, reccomended size?

EDIT: update, I didn't buy the marker from the forum, i bought one from justpaintball, brand new. I've got a 12oz CO2 bottle for practising at home, and I can borrow an air tank from my site until i buy my own one. I do not want a marker that can fire 17bps, 8 is plenty for the time being, as cash is still an object, so i have to be easy on paint.

If your buying the one for £120 on the classifides....seriously consider not doing that, if you ibtend on actually progressing at all in paintball.

Much better off buying a secondhand ION...just my opinion.

My opinions nothing else

Stick on an revi one thats sound activated I.e empire Reload, or the noise will annoy you and give you away in the woods, (saves having to shake the darn thing).

Flatline is fun, getting one second hand may be hard though, I use a PM6 normally, got a 98c around christmas, (swapped for a pistol, don't ask) Picked a flatline up from a walk on (It was in a bag marked free to a good home?) Played with it the other day, How much fun, electro is good but, old school put a smile we and truely on my face.

Any after market barrel should improve the accuracy though, standard barrel is rubbish, if you have played on a normalsite you should know this.

In my opinion though don't upgrade it in any other way really unless you really want too. Its a basic marker at the end of the day, thats why sites use them.

Now there are people out there that will argue that its a brill gat, (Don't get me wrong it is a fun gat) But on a walk on againest A5's, cockers, Ion's, Ego's, Shockers, (I'm not listing any more) its a bit slow with a maximum 5bps, (I may be wrong) and thats if the normal hopper lets you.

Use this gun to learn the game more than anything, then go to the A5 if scenario is the way forward, or an electro of some sort if torney is for you.

At the end of the day have fun, and enjoy your first gat.

P.S keep a barrel cleaner handy as they break balls in the breach.(No eyes)

my revi is, its a empire reloader, not a reloader b or II, basically a sound activated revi, its on pbreview. Its not force feed just aggitator. Just to clear that up;)

You dont need a decent hopper with the A5, it comes with its own, you can get the Ricochet
to go on top to replace the original, which you may as well paint a target on as I always got shot out on the front of it... it also feeds a ball for every shot as it has the cyclone feed that in my old A5 never broke a ball, the A5 flatline smashed them a bit, but never in the breach. But the A5 is very noisy on air with a flatline, and also gas hungry because of the cyclone feed, and if you have a responce trigger its 600-700 shots and out for more air at 3000psi.

My opinions only as before

i never got around to getting one for mine but an e-trigger/grip whatever it's called might be worth a look as the trigger pull on a stock 98 is really heavy...of course it would ramp the cost up to the point where you might as well get a better marker in the first place...

also something to look into but i've heard of better results from the apex barrel than the flatline if you're after the extra range...

hope that helps
