Just thought I'd post this up in case anyone else has been having the same trouble as me.
I've been after a new (or good condition used) screen for my angel air, I've managed to get hold of one now (thanks to Andy Dane) but in the mneatime I looked into 'fabricating' a suitable replacement.
After mapping out a rough 'template' in wood I got hold of some clear perspex sheeting from B & Q and after taking some measurements managed to cut a right sized piece.
After clamping onto the template and using the flame head on my gas soldering iron to bend the plastic I've got a good shaped piece that with some additonal filing and drilling I have a pretty good fitting prototype that is fully functional. Once my new ascreen arrives I'll feel safer about using my current and quite fragile screen for the final design.
I should be able to make quite a few with the sheeting I have now so I should be able to run off a few more if others are in need.
Bit rough and ready at the moment but it works....
