im all for banter, but anyone who says Jimmy Carr is funny needs to be shot! Or Ricky Gervais for that matter, hes been playin on the same "im so amazing" routine for years, and its crap!
i don't think you'll find any of that lot are actually more successful than Billy Connelly.

yeah, that'll be a good 'un. watch as a lot of the south disappears underwater. norfolk? where? london? where was that? as long as all the southern jessies don't invade the highlands.....do you know how difficult they were to clear in the first place!!!

lee evans for one - southern boy from bristol - biggest selling arena tour - bit more humour than a drunk scotsman jimmy carr live is quite funny, i wasnt a huge fan but i went and saw him in oxford in october and was laughing from start to finish. think you'll find that 10 top comedians of 2004 whilst Kay and Conolly took 1 and 2 (in 2004) the other 7 were all southerners and there was also eddie izzard. better sense of humour? i think so. obviously northerners dont get sarcasm from billy connolly or peter kay
and if the south's sinking, i'm sure alot of us would probably swim to europe first
