The problem with getting a visa in america is that they dont want you. If one of their own citizens can do the job then they would rather their citizen did it.

Pebble there are ways around it. Illegal ways round it mind you. I know someone who has been out there for 8 or 9 years. You wont be able to leave the country once your six months thing is up. Your family will have to come to you to see you etc and it can be hard. However you have a place to live as son as you get there. You'll be doing what you love.

Just another thought. I dunno how you'd fly around the country with your british passport because of the visa stamped in there already.

Its the chance of a lifetime. I sure hope somebody will help you out.

I thought you only needed a standard form of ID if your taking an internal flight since your not leaving the country? Not sure if it's different if you have a visa.

I think you can only apply for citizenship after living there for 5 years or something like that.
