So there we were, me n Cusack, heading to this
rumored new paintball shop in Birmingham City Center... well I must admit, I have always thought of The MOP as a Delta Farce style company, using questionable techniques to rob, i mean 'get people to willingly part' with they're cash/credit card details/cheque books/car keys, mobile phones, watches etc, in exchange for little pieces of card sending them to various paintball sites across the country, that have nothing to do with DF or any other of their abbreviations....
ANYWAY, this may not be news to people, but it was to me, and i like to know things... The MOP IS a company that sells ticket for various venues across the country, they sell tickets for paintball sites and companies, but unlike DF, these other companies actually KNOW that tickets are being sold for them! Amazing!
I went into the 'shop' with a bemused look on my face, somewhat resembling a first timer after being handed a hopper. After insisting that we have played very little paintball, at a site called NPF (WHICH, the dude had heard of, and amazingly praised!) we listened his detailed and professional explanation on various bit of kit they have in their showroom, and after trying to sell me a Spyder Pilot, and a JT Headshield, he told us a few of the shops plans for the future, including trying to stock up to date tournie kit, and more high end markers.
Overall, i honestly believe that the MOP, or at least the staff at this shop in Brum, are REALLY trying to promote the sport to the public, NOT just sell tickets... Eventually i we WERE found out (might've been the Angel hat that was sat on top of my cold head through the duration of our visit, or maybe even the Angel T-Shirt i was wearing) after being found out, we had a good old baller to ex-baller chat, and his intentions on promoting PB in such a prime location, (cant beat the Bullsh*t Ring, really) seem genuin, and honorable.
Thumbs up to Ministry of Paintball in Birmingham City Center
(some prices are a touch high, on kit, some are average, but this place is ideal for a newbie that wants to look before he/she buys)
