Ok as I will look noob with £900+ kit with addidas trousers and a nike tee shirt I thought I had better buy some kit so here is what I am looking for.

Got some medium evil shin/knee pads - done the job for me for the past few months.

Good condition - hole in mesh at achilles tendon where i put my thumb through it trying to pull them off - but doesn't do much.
