I dont think they have fallen on hard times mate, the fact they are moving to a bigger facility tells that story.
They obviously do not want a shop full of product when peolpe use the phone and internet to buy things.

I'm sure you could always phone them and arrange collection. Why don't people ever ask companies directly? Is it because we live in an age of text and e-mail messaging - that all inter-personal skills have gone?

Internet service and Phone are what every company have any way so why not use them?
They must have seen very little profitt and chose to close the shop.
As Raff says, Im sure they will allow you to go down and collect what you want if you order it over the phone or internet.
