Alot of the early LL Cool J stuff is underated.. I think Around the Way Girl is one of myfav tracks ever..

Q-Tip, good choice dude. Particularly like the track with Raphael Saddiq.

Mos Def - Black on both sides is another classic album. Speed Law and Miss Fat Booty being up there as classics.


Interesting to see people are going for the more Gangster rap 2pac/biggy types of tracks. Little cliched?

Yup, yet that's more than compensated by the fact that ALL of his later stuff is overrated.

Other overrated rappers include Tupac (tremendous BS artist, dude ain't from LA... spent most of his time in Oakland, but was born and raised in New York), Biggie (although that could be me, I hate when people sound fat, when you can hear that laboured breathing), JayZ (couple good tracks, most of the rest is just bogstandard crap), Kanye West (one trick pony).

Seriously underrated: Big L (RIP), Talib Kweli, Mos Def (besides a gifted rapper, also damn funny).
And I hate to say it, but 50 Cent is actually a very good rapper, but he hardly ever shows it... Candy Shop and that sort of sh!t.... dude, come on... you started out as a battle cat, stick with that.
