Many happy birthday wishes to (the man, the myth, the legend) Mikey!
As most of you will know, Mikey is one of the most prominent figures in British paintball. His understanding of the industry and the sport as a whole is second to none. I'm sure all of you will be aware of his attempts to establish a unified UK tournament series.
However, what a lot of you wont know is that there is another side to Mikey. He spends 2 weeks every summer out in Uganda, feeding starving children in remote villages. He is currently working on a cure for HIV AIDS and is apparently approaching a breakthrough that could save the lives of millions of suffering African children. In fact, he recently received a Knighthood from Her Majesty the Queen of England for his dedication to the improvement of human life. Last year, he received a letter of sincere gratitude from the American President, George Bush, for singlehandedly rescuing 15 orphans from certain death during the New Orleans floods.
Mikey's heroic deeds are innumerable, and his kindness unfathomable. I hope that we can all look to him as a shining example, to guide us through 2007.
