whats people recommended methods for packing a preset for postage?

only time ive sent one before was in a big ole' box with a marker lots of egg carton style protection / bubble wrap?

Wrapped in alot of stuff. I had a preset damaged by the PO :(

Make sure the threads are protected and that there is some give in the packaging. I usualy wrap it up in bubble wrap in a box (like a shoe box) then in another box surrounded by crumpled news paper. Also if you have the original box (PMI boxes were great) then try and use that.

Oh and i'm sure oyu know but Special delivery is the way forward :) all the best with running the post office gauntlet.

bollox ive done it loads of times ,chuck it in a shoe box with some packing round it and your fine .

I sent one off in a cardboard tube like the 'pure energy' pre set origional box that it came in (only I made mine out of sum random cardboard i had lying about), then put that into a slightly bigger box full of newspaper to provide some cushion 'n' packed it in 'n' taped the crap out of it:D :D :D :D

Could have dropped that fecker from a block of flats 'n' it would have been o.k:) :eek: :)

same method i've used....works a charm
