I'm confused ... the magnet should be attatched to the trigger on a standard ion setup not the adjustment frame grub, all the grub screw does is vary the elevation/pull length of the trigger.
It may be that the ion trigger has disintegrated at the point where the magnet attatches as this happens quite oftern.
If the trigger isnt damaged you should find the magnet slots into the tang coming off the back of the trigger, you may have to get the trigger out to do this (not sure as i havent seen an ion in a while).
If the trigger is broken I can supply you with a delrin one for a tenner.
