Nathan (my little bro) has Macfee, with the latest updates, and windows firewall set to max, and all the crap that came with the router (not sure if thats anygood tho). and this trojan horse that came thro, would not go without a fight, it was really really deep in the registery files, it really did have its claws deep, the only way was to reformat... and of course the muppet didnt back anything up on DVD's etc, so he lost about 10gb of music, and some of his recent coursework

you want windows defender installed - can be found by searching google and also avg - its a free antivirus software and is one of the best if not the best.

and also delete mcafee - it makes your pc run faster without it and slower if you have that and avg and defender. i was told this by a computer nerd who set up our wireless as none of the family could work out the instructions!

but whether they can stop bad links like that i dunno - was a foul image

Yup only things you need on a computer is:

windows defender(when it works)

Avg, its free at the moment. But they are getting rid of the free version soon, or advast 4.7.

Windows firewall.

I dont like norton as someone said, it slow's the computer down as it runs in real time. Same as all the rest (avg,advast) but they don't seem to slow the computer like norton,mcafee.

Also anyone thinking of getting Aol or has Aol, please dont forget to get a firewall. As it nicley decideds to turn the windows firewall off, due to the software they run.

- Mozzila firefox's Pop blocker's and Spyware watcher.
- Belkin's Firewall for the Network.
- Network Encryption, Password protection
- Logitech Keystroke Privacy and protection ( Most PC Peripherals are wireless )

I think PGI is really great so great in fact i was on at the stroke of midnight, surely there must be some way of recognising that? stickers would be ideal.
