Does anybody know if you can just reflash your ego 06 to a maniac or do you have to buy the new frame with board to upgrade thanks jim

No you cant mate. You can flash the older versions of the 06 to newer versions of the 06 but the maniac is a totally different board.
If you want the maniac software you need to buy the board (not sure if sold seperate) or buy the 06 star frame with the board in it.

when i asked planet they said you cant...... and if you want the maniac board they only offer it with the star frame, not on its own.
there are other aftermarket boards with lots of extra settings some that come with both optical and micro switch options for the trigger. it would be nice to see some new boards being offered with the RF sender unit on-board...........
