Nah - that´s "rødgrød med fløde" you are thinking of! :p

(sort of a fruit "mush" with cream!)

This one is actually called "ris a la mande"! Must be french - or at least inspired by french eh? ;)
I knew it was something with cream... I once had it described to me as "Strawberry sauce with whipped cream". But that was by a girl who was not very good at English. Mind you, she had other qualities, she didn't need to talk much.

Hey, I can actually pronouce that rodgrod stuff. Do I earn any cool points now?

Stay away from the French stuff though...;)

Strawberry sauce with whipped cream.... hmmmmmm.... NAH! She must REALLY have had other good qualities than the english language! :D

Cool points - erhm - so now you actually admit Denmark is pretty darn cool? Hehe!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! ;)

Aight, somebody has got to rep the USA so here ya go. This is, btw, pretty typical though some items are regional.
Turkey and/or ham
mashed potatoes
stuffing
gravy
green bean casserole
sweet potatoes (yams)
wax beans, squash, cream corn
cranberry sauce
deviled eggs
lots of condiments: raw cauliflowers, broccoli, carrots, assorted pickles
mostly pies for dessert; apple, cherry, pecan, pumpkin (carry over from Thanksgiving :) ) and when I was a kid we usualy had peach and rhubarb too
