As a lot of DF marshals post on P8, here's a link to some pics of our staff scenario game. Not brill quality, but not bad for a fonecam http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r221/deltaforceaeg/ Should have some more pics up when i get them in from others who were taking photos.

RESULTS:
Final Game Points: South 49,300, North 47,500
Overall Winners: South. However, without the bonus points for the Territory Markers and finding the Mighty Pink Gun of Thousand Truths and Immeasurable Power, the North had the lead by 200 points. I TOLD YOU ALL TO READ THE GAME BOOKLET!! ;)

Winning Centre Team –OWa (Hemel Hempstead)
Player of the Day (own gunner) – Justin Reed, Breakout, OW a – 82 points
Player of the Day runner up (site gun) – Alex C – KW b 40 points
Finder and Keeper of the Pink Gun of a Thousand Truths and Immeasurable Power: James Edlin OWa - look after her for me!

Final Territory Points: North 1300, South 2300: NB: Michael Finch of BW (Birmingham) helped the SOUTH to victory when he handed in his OWN (North) team’s flag at base-camp instead of leaving it in his base. This cost the North minus 500 points every time the Flag Judge did a round and found the North’s flag wasn’t in their base.

Well done to OW who won team of the day, player of the day and found the pink gun (hence completed the dummy task)! Legends!

Total number of pink barrels handed into shop, bank and trading posts = 3039
MW b took the most hostages = 12, most of whom were handed in by their Manager, Julie Weston, which is surprising since Juile normally 'takes no prisoners'.

One Northern (GW, Glasgow) player (without a gun) was spotted marching 3 Southern Softy (DW, Guildford) hostages (with guns) into base, turning every yellow territory marker to red as he went.

The prize for most dedicated players, if we'd had one would have gone to Reading's FW centre, not only because their manager marshalled in shorts in -1 freezing fog, but also because they spent the night huddled in a freezing van outside the locked centre gates to make sure they were the first to get the bacon rolls! I believe you guys were interrupted by the Police?? ;)

The only 5-man team not to be taken hostage all day was GW(a). Perhaps this explains the disappearance of the 2 missing air systems... It may be that the players using these air systems attempted to take Glasgow's Gerry hostage and are now buried in the BW woods along with all incriminating evidence?

Well that sums it up in a nutshell. BIG THANKS to our sponsors who donated prizes: JT Europe, Phoenix, NPS, Manic, Powerball, Enola Gaye/3rd Light. Special Thanks to Phoenix for the excellent Chronic - very nice ball as promised!, to Paramina Air Systems for supplying the air and the air systems and of course special thanks to all the senior members of DF staff who helped me run the day, especially our MD who happily cleaned muddy hoppers and potted paint and tallied up the scores all day. I couldn't have done it without you guys :)

Unfortunately, there's far too much of this "I thought i read somewhere that Delta Force..." crap going on. THIS is why we have this bad rep. It's pie in the sky gossipmongering and TBH it really f***s me off.

Of course DF were FULLY INSURED for every aspect of our scenario game.

Another ill-informed thoughtless comment....

As this was a fun staff scenario we decided to even the playing field slightly by only allowing DF hoppers at the game. This allowed players to use their own guns without putting the 40% of players using Infernos at a vast disadvantage.

The other reason for only allowing DF hoppers was that everyone started the game without paint or a loader (see i told you it was fun) players had to run out on-field and collect items of 'booty' to trade in for paint and hoppers. It added a whole new perspective to the game!

We have many marshals who play in all divs of UK ball. Dan Maskell, player for Russian/Boston Red Legion, (PSP/ World Champions) used to marshal for us and still works with me when he's back in the UK. But keep on studying our scenario pics, (i'm glad you took the time) I'm sure you'll find something else to have an ill informed pop about...
