robbo if the site is being used for scams which I have not seen a single bit of info on this please could you PM me some of the info as I don't want to be part of a scam site.


I am not suggesting it is being used for scams Rainbow, I just asked the question mate.
But, it would seem as tho this site (P8intballer.com) is being used by them to not only promote theirs but also as a portal to advertising for others.

Besides that, the directlinking he did with images of others is dodgy to say the least.
Given some of my interests besides paintball, I have run into much info on copyrights on images. Just saying "It's okay, I didn't copy the pic, but rather used the same link as where it was originally found" just ain't gonna cut it.

They have been banned from another forum for the same self promotional links.

The copyright law can be simplified in this way:

If you want to post a picture on your website, first contact the photographer (the copyright owner) for his/her permission. At that time you should also find out if he/she has a release from the subject. This ensures that the person who owns the copyrighted medium (i.e. the actual physical picture) and the subject of the image both have given their blessing for the work to be used as secondary sources.
