What exactly is the problem here? A user submitted an article and it has been published.

Dude you have to realize that we are a tight bunch on here when it comes to scammers because of the sh*t we have had to put up with from certain people.

For some one to come on here with no name and no ones knows you you cant blame people for thinking that you are up to some thing.

why not introduce your self to every one it would make sense because every one is scared of getting ripped off or some one claiming that there are some one that is trying to do some good.

we have had it before with delta force trying to set up a forum and a governing body but saying it was nothing to do with them but we all knew it was.

So the best bet is like i said to introduce your self.

What is your full name...

what team do you play for....

who do you know in the paintball world....

who can vouch for you.

were are you from......

and if that is cool then its all cool.

i hope this is a good thing cause it would help out a lot of newbies.

peace.

Thanks markie. I appreciate your response.

I had a similar request in my first thread, but for some reason it seems to have been removed. Ah well :)

My name is Matt and I am a full-time webmaster. I run a number of websites that fill particular "niches" and my latest site is my Paintball blog. I do not represent anyone and I am not working for anyone, I just hope to create a useful resource.

I am not a Paintball player and have never claimed to be. A have a number of friends however who do, that was my inspiration for this site. I found this forum by checking my website's logs and finding someone had linked to a post of mine. I decided to come here and ask for help.

That is all. If you have any further questions feel free to PM me.

Well, I've just taken a look at the web site and whilst it seems to be full of good intention, it is actually full of wripped off and down-right dodgy content, including advertising other peoples equipment for scandalous prices.

Take for example, the advert for a JT Excellerator 5 to include...

2 x 20oz gas bottles
200 shot loader
4 slot Waist pack
4 x 140 shot pots
JT Mask + replacement lense
JT foam and lycra shin guards (Medium)
Rhino armored gloves (Medium)
Bulk canister refilling valve

This package is worth £100 by my estimations. Your site is advertising it at £200! And you are effectively advertising it on his behalf, putting your reputation behind his... what happens when these buyers come back to you demanding an explanation as to why you help some guy rip them off?

You are also using images that aren't yours - copyright laws are being relaxed, but it isn't best business practice.

And there seems to be a lot of ripped-off content as mentioned - I get the impression that you are fleshing out the site with this stuff to get it going and that you are linking to various popular existing paintball sites to get your traffic.

I'm sorry mate, but if you are an established web master as you say, your methods seem underhand and self-focussed to me.

This community will pull you up for it. So I suggest keep the good intentions, but instead of just flooding your site with content for the sake of it, actually do some research, get to know the market and community, and provide a service that people will see value in. That's what a true "webmaster" would do.

EDIT: Changed my valuation of the above package after noticing the Fill Station (if that is what it is).

Is this guy legit?
Is his site legit?
Sid, do you think anything on his site smells of a scam?
If anybody has firm info on this guy or his website then PM me, we will not have our website used as a portal to generate traffic for his site if there is any chance our members being fed crap (via the editorial) or scammed.
Please advise me guys.
Cheers

That is possibly the most generic answer i have ever heard.

Matt who?
Where are you from?
Can anyone else smell something?

If this post seems harsh, it should. I don't believe a word of it, which is my right and privilege.
