Predictions for 07 season

Please don't misquote me or put words into my mouth, I did not put down any UK players whatsoever.
You gave an entirely misrepresented appraisal of the state of UK paintball,
I was being realistic and honest and for that to be interpreted as putting anybody down is somewhat unfair on your part.

I have not only commented on what is wrong, I have also provided a blueprint for action to put things right and am willing to do seminars and clinics (as posted in another thread) to speed the process up.....and so....your point is?

My point is maybe it needs more than just 1 person to start shaking the tree Robbo.

These people need to play against better players, or all of the knowledge that you have passed on in your seminars and clincis will never be used, and they will continue to play Div 3 and never really be pushed or stretched.

So I guess people will be like me and keep saying that this needs to change, but it takes someone with a more powerful voice to shout than me. If I was in a position to do it I would, I love the sport the people and players in it and I want UK paintball to be the best, like the early days. At the moment (with the exception for a very minor few) we are walking in the dust of the Germans the French (and that hurts) and the Scandinavians. We are so far behind the Americans that their dust has settled by the time we come along.

Someone, something needs to change. If anyone out there thinks Robbo and I are talking rubbish and that UK paintball is fine then i suggest you stop playing in the UK and start playing Millenniums what you learn in an event will be more than a whole season in the UK. But this also needs you guys to make the change the effort and playing at levels higher than you every done before, it might mean at the beginning that you never make a Sunday club but what you learn will be worth so much more.

Old Europe as a "Paintballing Sport" economy gets eclipsed by rest of world (Pacific Asia, Eastern Europe). Gino gets the "Spanish Archer". NPPL integration into PSP a reality. UK unable to field a consistent, competative "Pro" level team (too many teams and egos, consilidation is required). Gratis bullet deals, or silly discounts to all and sundry to become a thing of the past. PA folds.

I have never for 1 moment thought that UK paintball is fine and I do not live my life looking through rose-tinted lenses. From where I stand UK paintball is dying, there are a few still blowing a bit of life into the sport but it is still a dying beast. I live and breathe UK paintball and play most events and am there every weekend right in the heart of it, so trust me I know I have seen all those talented players come and go and know what a waste it has been.

But if you are so keen at shooting people down in flames I ask you this question and would like you to be totally honest, how much of a difference has your seminars made to UK paintball. I guess it is at this point that you lose your cool, but stop and think all that you have done is it enough, clearly it is not you have been doing these for some time and still paintball here is dying. We lose bullies and other events in recent years everyone is predicting the PA is about to die, which I sincerely hope not!!!.

So not one point I have made you agree with then Robbo, or do you agree with it all and the only part you can slate is one small statement which I hope people take the challenge and have a look at what Europe offers.

It is simple if things do not shape up soon the UK will lose more events until it comes to the point that there will be nothing left and English paintball is the laughing stock of Europe.

I know you will react to this posting in the worst possible way which is a shame because all I want to do is see paintball in the UK grow.

For my own sins I have also more than likely reacted out of turn by your reaction and what you have stated, so to 1 and all sorry but it is easy to type these things and no emotion is stated so you can not actually see the feelings involved..... and yes Robbo I would have the same conversation with you face to face and no doubt we will probably chat further when we meet again.

After reading both your posts, it seems to me your kind of saying the same points but in entirely different fashions, and thats where the misunderstanding is coming from. I know your both passionate about UK ball because i know you both.

Take it from me - your both right.

Sir J - no need for the insults you have more intelligence than to dice with death...

my hopeful predictions:

P8ntballer will stop getting sh*t posts along the lines of gorgeous guns, goggle straps etc and more worthwhile threads will start to appear.
Paintballers in the UK will realise that you cant buy game - you gotta work at it.
Organisers start working together to push Uk ball forward.
The infighting and backstabbing stops and people realise its give and take and not just take.

6. More paintball mergers and buy outs

7. Less and Less companies working together more cut throat

8. Robbo will call Rocky soon...

How many UK teams have won anything this year? NK in M5 - completely new team and they are moving up in 2007 and Outrage in Div3 - they pay their own way and whether you agree with it or not if they are spending their own money to play this sport they can enter how they want.

All of NK are under 21's aswell. Most of us have part time jobs and put all our money into paintball and trying to pay to get to all the milleniums aswell as HB next year. Heck ive already been saving since october Im glad that you mentioned us though Beaker

Notrious - Can these killer dwarfs see the potential of going for SPL and move away from the 5 man and on to 7 for a shot at the SPL and then CPL
