I had the same problem with my shocker.
I drilled 2 small holes in the end cap and unscrewed it using a spanner shaped tool that has 2 pins in it (the type of tool used on small angle grinders to remove the grinding wheels.) Once the end cap came out I replaced it with a new one .
Found out that there was still air in the gun so first thing i do now is turn the gun on eliminate the eyes and fire it until the air is all out.
I went out and brought a stainless rammer cap for my ego.
