although everyone here is giving you doom and gloom regarding cockers - the hard to maintain marker - they're really not that tricky, and if you have any issues, people here can easily help you out- i'd consider myself a cocker person; as others will i'm sure (someone, pick up on the fact that i wrote cock and person next to each other.... it's inevitable)

The cocker is far better (just don't mess with it)

However (and it pains me to say this) I would stick with the ion if thinking long term.

The reason I say this is that Planet no longer make E1/E2's or their parts so when there gone, there gone. So I suspect soon electric replacement parts will soon become rare and hard to get. Unless Belsales starts making the electric parts as well as the mech parts.

You would have to get parts from WGP in the states eventually I suspect. And WGP itself seem to be moving away from cockers (anyone seen a new one? That's not a update on the 05/06 model?) to their Worrmachines (whatever they are)

The K2 takeover seems to have killed the cocker IMHO.:(

Go for the cocker, just about every problem has a detailed explanation on how to fix it, and providing you "READ THE MANUAL, ETC", then they are no problem at all.
The biggest problem with cockers is that people "think" they know what they are doing and just start to fiddle with them until they no longer work and then they call them a crap gun because they didn't read up on them first:mad:
When they are set up right they are a magnificent gun that will serve you well for years to come, and lets be honest, what parts are you gonna need apart from maybe an E2 noid?
The Ion by the way will simply dissintegrate in your hands while your playing:confused:
And no i'm not biased, i have both a cocker and an ion, and there is just no comparison in my opinion.
Think BMW vs NISSAN;)
Ps, USE A HALO/RELOADER/PULSE/VELOCITY. eggs, revvys, etc just don't cut it
