Do you follow a set pattern of shooting during the game Dan? for example after 10 seconds call, take each team in starting position, one team as they break out and then each individual that you can see or look for the most promising shot?

A good mix of the two would be most efficient for
A) people wanting photos of themselves whatever they're doing
B) people wanting photos of good moves and general pimp'ness

From alot of matt pritchard photos i've seen, you can usually piece together quite vividly how it went, which makes looking through the photos alot more interesting, although it helps more that photos are sorted to their respective games...

One thing I would like is a sliding scale (or team deals) for more purchases, which would benefit everyone as teams would all chip in and get more of the the photos of themselves, and plus the more you take of them the more they'll buy...

How i work is take pictures of both teams at the start gate, then get 1 team breaking out and then take pictures of as many of the players on each team as i can.

As for sliding price scale.....

not a lot can be done on prints on the day as this cost quite a lot of time and money to run. however pictures on a cd run at £5 for 1 image £10 for 3 images etc. A team can purchase a CD of all the photos of the team on that day for £35 ( sometimes can run into nearly a hundred shots(ask lump and lemon))

Hopefully i should have another photographer for next year working for me and then as well as covering all the teams myself, my colleague could concentrate on a single team all day following them for every game and in the staging area for £120 with all pictures supplied on a CD.

I also aim to have all the pictures on my site within 48 hours of returning home from the event, hence the mac on site as this cuts down on the processing costs.

If you want to know any more just visit the website at www.randonphotography.co.uk and give me a call on the mobile.

noticed you said in the jan masters thread, that you'll be now doing prints on site, will that be on request, or will you be printing off a load of pictures taken on the day so players can have a browse through them looking for themself??? :)

Fish, me old mucker. I've always done prints on site. The computer is running from lunch time onwards so that players can browse to prints on the screen and then ask me to print them off for them.

Anyone who played the 7 man, and the 10 man last year will vouch for the quality of the prints etc.

I will also be able to offer framed team pictures for £20 (collected from the next round of the masters)

hope this helps you fish

i can honestly say I think Dan is 1 of the best photographers the masters has ever had. Take his whole package, brillianty photos, printing on day, and 48 hour turnaround on a well organised and easy to use website.

Obviously team seperation would help on the website.

I even use a pic of his in my sig.
