Hi,

When i recieve my used Angel 05 speed that i have just bought on this forum, what maintanance do i have to do to the gun? (keeping in mind iv'e never owned a paintball marker before.)

I havn't bought the AIR yet.

Do i need to buy anything for the Angel 05 Speed to maintain it?

Any suggestions would be highly appresiated :D

very little maintenance on an Angel matey, a little gun oil (WDP Love juice) through the marker occasionally (a couple of drops in the vert reg and dry fire a few times) and thats about it but ideally all you want to know is at

www.angelowners.com

or speak to Sir Tom of Allen on these boards

ok thanks, i was just wondering because on some forums i have been on, they say Angel 05 speed shouldn't be bought by a newcomer because they are hard to upkeep or something, i don't care now anyway because i have bought the gun and just waiting to recieve, and i really like the look of the gun, the gun i am recieving hasnt had any modifications, will it still shoot fast and accurate?

Angels usually only play up because people fiddle with them!

A good wipe down after play and a couple of drops of oil as Dsk suggested every 2-3 cases of paint (then dry fire about 50 times) should keep it running smooth. Invest in some kitchen towel and cotton buds to keep it clean and some Love Juice. I have one that runs beautifully and have set others up for peeps, don't mess with them, keep them clean and lubed and keep smiling :)

If all else fails get in touch with LiPS

Jamie, I still have the Rasta Fly, that runs faultlessly too.

ok thanks everyone who has responded, i'll have a better idea when i recieve the angel 05 speed, when i recieve and if i have problems i'll ask for questions,

While were talking about my angel 05, will the angel 05 speed take these tanks?

How are you ment to tell if the ones shown above are LP or HP? i think my angel 05 takes LP.

thanks Rob

Thanks mate, i'm all embarrased now...;)

Make sure the oil is silicon based, most paintball oils are good. do not use 3 in 1 or wd40

The Speed 05 is one of the best Angels made, don't let the sheep who shoot the "in vogue gun" change your mind.

A GOOD QUALITY set of long metric allen keys, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm and 4mm.
But to do major work, you'll need a good o-ring pick, circlip pliers and an angel tool kit (which i reccomend you get a Angel tech to do).
To be honest as long as you oil the Speed 05 after every days play (2 drops in the asa or minireg), you'll probably only ever have to change the exhaust valve. Which just needs a 4mm allen key to get at it.
