Aerodynamic properties

Having left LIPS this afternoon having strapped the pulse Hooper to the roof of the car then traveling down the A1 south bound at an average speed of 70mph I calculated that the Hooper has a drag factor of 000.001 psps thus slowing me by 0.00.01mph adding well who cares.

now that i have done this i will work out how that will effect the aerodynamic of the player carrying a marker with this hopper filled this paint, now as you all know that paintballs are not the same weight so this may take some time.

Gibble gibble Lar Lar Lar off to me shed. :D :D :)

Whilst I recommend professional installation anyone who is going to solder their own RF Transmitter might find the following useful.

1. Make sure you are staically grounded - static can kill your board - unlikely to happen but it is a possibility

2. Pre-tin the wires by flowing a little solder to the bared ends.

3. Use a soldering iron that has a high enough wattage to allow you to dab the tip to the board thus applying a short time duration of heat to the board. I use a 45W temp controlled Weller set with a fine tip with a chisel edge. Too many people use irons that are too small and have to wait ages for them to heat up and then can't get the right solder flow. Likewise a lot of people us fat tips on huge 75 watt irons that then melt the tracks on the board.

4. If at all possible connect to the solenoid wires themselves. These can be replaced easily if you make a mistake the board can not. I would recommend you melt the insulation slightly rather than trying to strip with cutters (some of the wires in the solenoid plugs can easily part from their crimp terminals). If you use this method of connection make sure you insulate the connections after they have cooled.

Please remember that you are playing with your markers warranty. If you mess up the board then you are on your own.
