Ok - the invert mini - revolutionary marker and all that is coming out in a few weeks, and loads of people are pre-ordering/getting involved in the group deal, but all i hear is rumblings from the states "it'll become the new ion", "it's for noobs"... all i have to say is it's fast, it's accurate, it's tiny, it's made of aluminium, it's light + tight, why would it become the new ion? (by the way, for this i've adopted the american mentality - for those who are unaware of it, simply substitute the word "ion" for "evil" or "icky marker". )

this all sounds like you want to justify your own purchase to me

as for rumblings from the states stop reading pbnation ;) and you will never hear anything from them again the main boards are a nightmare

a good example the 07 borg thread turned into a ego owns this gun thread

But is it not the start of something we all need.

Hopefully not marking the demise of planet and wdp, but the mini is the marque between the say ion/ephinay and then the angel1/ego

yes its smaller / lighter than current markers but i think it marks a revolution.

no longer do we need to tell people that the step from punter/rambo ball days is going to cost a re-mortgage, it is becoming an accessible sport, and that is what we need

ps i aint got a pre-order for one, just waiting for the classifieds to show. tee hee

As far away from you as possible
Did the Ion and the Promaster pass you buy then, because 17bps+ has been affordable for a long time, especially second hand.

I will wait to see what review come out, I would never buy a product on looks and what the makers say alone.

right guys, lets not descend into another 'ions are great/they should go in the blendtech blender' debate.... please :(

The promaster is based on an old design, i'm not knocking it, but you can see that the money plowed into development of the design has been recouped a long time ago so the design can now be made affordable to all. As for the ion, well having owned one and worked on countless others i think its safe to say that I can see where the money was saved to make it affordable.

Now, if the mini performs as well as its claimed to (and as well as shown in the vids), and is built to as a high standard as is also claimed then it does mark a new era of a revolutionary design and technology being made available at reasonable prices. And its not plastic, so it should cut down on the jibes from the paintball snobs/ jokers.

Much as i would love to get my hands on one first, i'm willing to take the chance and pre order. if nothing else, its another marker to fiddle with.
