id keep the ego. after all the ego 2 years ago was THE best marker available, it was designed to be the best gat out there and 2 years later... its the same price as a mini is braned new. go figure:rolleyes:
and 3 years ago the autococker was the best gun out there
go figure

times move on but yet to touch a mini so the jury is still out

all this crap came about on the new A1 being the lightest gun about that is wrong cause the sl was much lighter.

I know i work for eclipse but i am proud of it they are making new standards in the industry...
If only you guys could produce a hopper and air system that weighed less than 4 pounds collectively then the 3 ounce difference in weight between guns from 3 years ago and guns from today would actually become somewhat relevant. It's kind of like engineering the world's lightest and fastest production car so that you can strap a 2 ton trailer to the back of it.

I can see the point in getting a mini as a backup if you have an ego as they appear to be awsome markers and cheap ones to boot. However the ego is small, light, and dam good quality. IMO to make a marker costing £350 there have got to be some sort of cost cutting measures, making the marker a lower quality than one of a higher price, hence why i would say keep the ego.

Also you will have to buy the marker, set it up nicely, and get used to it, another few weeks spent tinkering which you could use to improve your game!

Its not an insult, but no one is perfect!

perhaps these corners have been cut because they dont need macroline, internal hoses, wires, seperate eye boards, no extensive milling

mabey thats why ? :>

Surely those things aren't that expensive in the scale of things? I've been looking at these and you do have to wonder what has been cut for that price. I'm thinking lower grade metal and annodising, with the little things that you just don't get in high end guns like slightly loose or mis-aligined parts, minor annoyances but still makes a difference. I could be totally wrong but they are markedly cheaper than other guns yet still claim to offer the same performance.

Well I suppose, but the Mini new sells for £325, an EGO7 for £800ish, now either Eclipse are making an absolute killing, or the Mini is going to be significantly lower quality.

think of the milling that goes into an ego, and the time and money it costs... qevs... hoses... macroline.... eye wires... detent covers... the ego is clearly a more expensive design.... mini is a no frills minimum parts gun... plus i imagine eclipse have much higher overheads to cover the cost of.... (sponsoring teams with discounts and free guns etc) invert have none of that (at the moment)
