I've never really heard of many HPA bottle blowing up,(only one i've heard of is the Madrid incident) or really seeing the results of one going POP. but as i was looking at the Ironlions website, i found this and it sent shivers down my spine...
http://www.ironlions.co.uk/album_cat.php?cat_id=1:eek:

what make's a bottle do this (apart from the obvious, i.e overfilling) and was every one ok that was around.

not sure if this has been posted before, but.... its something that needs to be seen to make sure people look after there stuff.

James, I believe that compressed air made the bottle go 'POP'.

I know, I know. I should be helping resolve the JFK thing, how Diana died and bringing OJ to justice. But at least I have been able to put my shrewd investigative skills to good use here.

No need to thank me.

I'll bill you.

he put flammable oil as lubricant into the reg which ignited or sumthing due to pressure and melted the inside then bang went sailing through the sky and landed in antartica:D
oh, ive been told about these, where people put lube or what ever into the fill nipple to stop leaks, and then a fire starts inside the bottle... and eventually pops..

more shivers

I'm a country member!
OK, I'm standing here with arms outstretched to my sides, palms up like a giant scale. In one hand a pile of Common Sense and Self Regulation,in the other a big bag of Nanny State, now which one is going to win?

Do we want to be forced into spending £20/£30 a year on having out equipment retested and postage both ways? Or, do we keep level heads and spread the word about safety?
