If anyone related to the guy has seen this thread the markers will be long gone, maybe not sold, but he may have asked a mate to "look after them" so that if the police do go round to his house then nothing will be found.

The only evidence there is to put this guy away is he is trying to sell stolen goods on ebay, he specifically says he is selling them for a friend, so technically he is not in posession of stolen goods.

Only thing i can think of which isnt exactly legal would be to go round to this guys house, ring on the door bell and explain that if the markers are not returned then his house will have X done to it. As having a few pains of glass replaced will cost more than he could sell the markers for. Pure and simple illegal backmail, however this realistically is the only way i can see of getting the markers back.

Like paintball-lizard said get your markers listed on http://www.markerreg.com Thats what the Marker Reg site was setup for was to help to stop things like this from happening.

As a member of Marker Reg you can let the marker reg system generate a page for you to show that you own that marker.

IONfire i hope it all works out for you, and get you markers listed on markerreg and list them as stolen if you dont get them back.

I feel some people are getting a bit carried away with the hate mob thing so I am going to reply with what I know.
I have spoken to the guy on the phone, and like I said he was VERY calm and didnt really seem to be bothered, like he said he was selling for a FRIEND.
It may sound like I am sticking up for the guy and in a little way I am.
I agreed to buy the markers for £750 cash, to be sent to his address by recorded delivery. The guy had no worries about meeting me over halfway between his place and mine. He also had no worries of giving me his mobile, home phone AND address.
Earlier I had a text from the guy saying he was very sorry and couldn't sell them to me as there were some issues with the goods he was NOT aware of. He apologised again.
Now to me he wouldn't of bothered texting me to say he couldn't sell if he was the thief. After all i was going to be sending £750 CASH to him. Surely he would of kept quiet and sat waiting for my £750 to arrive Tuesday morning. He could of also taken Beanbags offer of £800 and made himself a good earner. HE DIDNT!!!
I really believe he was selling for someone else and didnt know they were stolen. (I am rather trusting though)
I sympathise with IONfire and have spoken to him and it seems the police MAY be doing something, but I also feel sorry for this guy if he is caught up in something he knew nothing about.
I hope this gets sorted, hope IONfire gets his markers and hope the guy is as INNOCENT as he sounded.
Just goes to prove, sometimes you cant even trust your mates, IF his mates were the crooks.
Lets wait to see the outcome
