No idea mate. I briefly glanced at an ION once, but cant remember what it was like.
If they are ally you will be fine. I have heard if they are they have been powder coated, and I heard this causes some probs to anno.
I may be wrong though as I know nowt about IONs

Is it aluminium or plastic??? I have no idea as I have taken no notice of an ION.
If it is aluminium then it can be done but the powder coating MAY cause some kind of problem

the ion frame is aluminium that has been powdercoated. Its powder coated because its cast and not billet machined aluminum (cheaper). you can annodise cast aluminium but it doesnt hold the dye as well so the finish may not be as good (im guessing thats why smartparts chose to coat it). best thing to do is speak to sloth, the frame will have to be stripped before it can be anno'd and im sure sloth could do that for you.
Parki - the 'easy' answer is no. If you read futher back - you'll see I already asked about it.
The ali of the ION grip grame is very poorly and roughly machined. You can strip and spray it though (with a lot of sanding in between).
