Don't think you have to worry about the coating - They'll sort all of that out. £7 for the fade gloss finish, plus your share of the setup fee and postage - All in all, around £15 I'd imagine.

powder coated markers.... tippmann? unannoable (a new word i believe)
The ION frames are powder coated. You don't anno over the top of the coating - you strip it first (usually with acetone).

It is usually done to cover up bad finishing on the metal - nothing a little sanding won't bring out.

If need be - I could strip and sand it - so it's nice and shiny and smooth. It would just need the aluminium annodising then.

you will have trouble getting a good anno finish on the stripped ion frame as it is cast aluminium not machined thats why its powdercoated, just thought i would mention it :)

i think due to christmass + the infered costs (turkeys are pricey!) we should suspend this group deal to january, as more people will have new markers to anno... paintball - lizard has said ok to this - if you need stuff annodised, i'm sore 1 or 2 people will go in on it with you to make it a little cheaper.

Oh bugger! Thanks for the 'heads-up'. Maybe I should leave it as a nice smooth shiny lump of ali.

raffles, it's what i said earlier about powder finishes on tippmanns  - that's done as it's cast aluminium too, and anno doesn't provide a good finish on it - i don't know why, it just does :)

its because the crystaline structure of the metal is changed when the aluminium is cast so it doesnt hold the dye as well after it has been annodised;)
